Nuestra metodologia
At GARCIA BELLO, we work with the conviction that fashion can be an act of care.
We give new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded, transforming them through our own upcycling and reconstruction methods — techniques we learned and inherited from our family. Our mission is to minimize environmental impact while creating conscious, durable, and beautiful garments.
Each piece is born from a reconstruction process: we reuse garments and discarded materials to create new designs that may be replicable in form, yet remain unique in their materiality and color. We apply zero-waste pattern and reconstruction methods, adapted to old clothes and materials sourced from fabric remnants or industrial offcuts. This approach allows us to make the most of available resources while preserving the handcrafted quality at every stage.
Part of our materials comes from donations of unused clothing, collected together with our local community. We connect with neighbors through posters and social media, gathering, sorting, and preparing textiles that will later be transformed. From shirts to tablecloths, curtains, or sheets — each forgotten fabric finds a new way to be reborn.
We also collaborate with organizations, local stores, and companies that hold deadstock or discontinued garments. We carefully select these materials and design upcycling production processes, creating new collections that return purpose and circularity to what already exists.
Each garment carries an external label with information about its making — item number, year of production, and care instructions — ensuring transparency in our work.
We believe in the value of every garment and the importance of extending the life of objects. We seek to strengthen the bond between people and their clothing, connecting with the memory that makes each piece sustainable and eternal.
This is the essence of our motto, which gave birth to the brand: This garment is connected to my story.
